West Side Recreation & District

Preschool

The District's preschool program exists to provide a developmentally appropriate program that promotes the development of your child's social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills.  Special attention is given to individual learning and creativity.

Our philosophy includes the belief that children learn through a wide variety of teaching strategies and interactions that support all kinds of learning. Play is one way that children learn about their world.  Our goal is that each child's first school experience will be a positive one. Our curriculum encourages language development, problem solving and social awareness in a small group setting.  Our classes have a maximum enrollment of 14 students per class.

Available Classes:

  • Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
    • 8:30-11:00 a.m.  (ages 3.5 - 5)

School is broken into sessions for payment purposes only - once a student is enrolled, they are considered an enrolled student for the entire school year unless they notify the school otherwise.  New students are welcome at any time as space permits.  Children must be at least 3 years of age prior to their first day of school for the Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday classes and 3.5 years of age (3 years old on or before April 1, 2016) for the Monday-Thursday class.
